Hello, Carbondale Libraries,

I wanted to inform you about a delay in the processing of materials for Carbondale libraries. You may have noticed that your library did not receive any incoming items today, and unfortunately, there will be no incoming library materials tomorrow either.

This situation arose due to a water main break at the IHLS-leased Carbondale building on Monday. We were notified on Monday evening that the water would be turned off on Tuesday, with repairs expected to be completed by that afternoon. Given these circumstances, we allowed drivers to run their routes since they would be out of the building. However, we had to cancel the sorting process because there were no available restroom facilities or water.

Yesterday afternoon, we learned that the repairs had not been completed and that the water would be turned off again today. As a result, drivers continued to run their routes, but sorting was still not possible. Consequently, no items will be leaving from our Carbondale hub today, and no items will be sent tomorrow as well.

We hope that the repairs will be completed today and that the items will be delivered on Friday. Please be prepared for delays in materials during this time.
